Our Christmas

Dad, Emily, Dave and Brandon were able to join us for Christmas this year. We baked krumkakers in bracelets and cookie shapes and carrot cookies a few days before Christmas. We were going to make party mix but then Dad showed up with a big container of party mix from Aunt Pearl and I decided that would be enough. We also made fudge. Brittany did quite a bit of baking with Tina (Emily's sister-in-law) so we had quite a bit of goodies around. I also made ostekaka #2. It turned out great.

[Emily is taking cake decorating classes. She won 1st prize in a contest at work for these ornament cupcakes. She also took a couple of orders for them.]

On Christmas Eve we had beef stew, potato bread and cheese before opening presents. On Christmas Day we had a spiral cut ham, potatoes, green bean casserole, roles, green salad, potato sausage (a Christmas only specialty item from the butcher in Derby) and ostekaka with lingenberries that I found at World Market.

Wednesday, we had Christmas with the Edwards side of the family.

The Christmas stuff is put away and I'm ready to tackle a few things on my list before I go back to work on Wednesday.

Thanks for participating in this blog. I gave both of you full permissions to work with the blog.
